INTRO
The Blind People’s Association, founded in 1954 in Ahmedabad by Padma Shri recipient Jagdish Kashibhai Patel, is a pioneering NGO dedicated to comprehensive rehabilitation of individuals with visual, hearing, mental, orthopedic, and multiple disabilities. BPA operates multiple education and vocational training centers, physiotherapy and technical schools, a Braille production unit, and inclusive community programs; it’s also known for establishing India’s first “talking ATM” and accessible pathways.
WHAT WE DID
Lincoln Pharmaceuticals has sponsored competitive exam coaching (UPSC, GPSC) for visually impaired youth, donated Orbit Braille Writers and modern Orbit Reader 20 devices, and consistently supplied free essential medicines to BPA hostel students for over 15 years. Additionally, we’ve supported BPA’s livelihood training programs and inclusive infrastructure upgrades.
IMPACT
Our contributions have strengthened BPA’s core mission empowering visually impaired individuals toward education, employment, and independence. Competitive exam coaching has enabled aspirant civil servants to pursue higher opportunities, while access to Braille technology and medicines has equipped students with essential tools for academic success and health maintenance. Moreover, inclusive infrastructure and livelihood training have broadened BPA’s rehabilitation impact, helping thousands of beneficiaries build self-reliance and confidence.
