INTRO
VSSM, formally registered in 2010 and led by social activist Mittal Patel, is a dedicated non-profit committed to empowering nomadic and de-notified communities across Gujarat. With a presence in over 5,000 settlements and outreach to more than 200,000 families, VSSM champions education, housing, livelihood, water conservation, elderly support, and disaster relief. Its sister arm, Vimukt Foundation, further institutionalizes these efforts to scale impact.
WHAT WE DID
Lincoln Pharmaceuticals partnered with VSSM/Vimukt to introduce the “Lincoln Gram Van” outreach model—a mobile unit that brings essential services directly to remote settlements. Our support also extended to housing projects, community-based education initiatives (such as hostels and bridge schools), skills development programs, tree plantations, participatory water management, and the selfhelp “Swawlamban” loan scheme offering interest free credit for small businesses.
IMPACT
This partnership has tangibly uplifted nomadic families by bridging critical access gaps and fostering long-term resilience. “Lincoln Gram Van” ensures health, education, and livelihood support reaches those living on society’s fringes. The housing and loan initiatives have empowered over. 11,000 families to build homes, launch small businesses, and secure financial independence—like Kesnathbhai, who rose from destitution to owning land, vehicles, and a shop thanks to VSSM’s micro-loan support.
Tree-planting and water conservation efforts have rejuvenated drought-prone land, while hostels and bridge-school programs have enabled hundreds of children to attend school, with a reported 92 % of nomadic hostel students passing their 10thgrade board exams in 2022. Through these combined efforts, Lincoln’s support has fostered dignity, stability, and hope for some of the most marginalized communities in Gujarat.
Shri Gramya Seva Sangthan, Kutch & Dr. Vanikar Smarak Trust
INTRO
The Shri Gramya Seva Sangthan, headquartered in Rapar, Kutch, is a voluntary organization founded in 2002 to provide rehabilitation and support services for disadvantaged and differentlyabled individuals. Beginning with polio-corrective surgery camps, the organization expanded to physiotherapy, bridge courses, vocational training for the mentally challenged, chronic illness support, and the transformation of countless lives through dedicated day-care and residential programs.
WHAT WE DID
Lincoln Pharmaceuticals has broadly supported Shri Gramya Seva Sangthan by financing vocational training for persons with disabilities, facilitating physiotherapy camps, aiding polio surgery initiatives, sponsoring rehabilitation services, and contributing to health camps for chronically ill patients. We also helped establish facilities such as day-care centers, bridge education programs, and landscaped vocational gardens, empowering over 75 individuals with severe physical handicaps through crafts and eco-friendly idol production.
IMPACT
Our support has driven transformational change helping over 400 individuals receive polio corrective surgeries, followed by comprehensive physiotherapy and long-term rehabilitation. Vocational programs have enabled dozens of economically disadvantaged persons to create livelihood through tailoring, crafts, and eco-friendly products like coir-fibre idols reinforcing community integration and self-reliance. The day-care and bridge education initiatives have ensured that mentally challenged children can live fulfilling, dignified lives, some even reintegrating with their families after years of isolation. Overall, Lincoln’s support has strengthened the trust’s capacity to sustain life-changing services and uplift Kutch’s most vulnerable populations.
